Janet is a painter and printmaker who spends much of her time creating original and eye-catching etchings. Her work ranges from illustrative to abstract and her inspirations come from many sources, including poetry and the natural world.
Janet lives &works in Somerset, England & attended the Somerset College of Art from 1970-1972. She obtained a B.A. in Fine Art at Wolverhampton Polytechnic from 1972.
In 2006 she produced over 200 black and white illustrations for a book published in 2007, ‘Learning Chinese Characters’, written by local authors Laurence and Alison Matthews.
She is concentrating on her own work once more and sells her etchings through an ever-growing list of galleries across the U.K. Janet has also sold her etchings at Selfridge department store in Oxford Street, London.
Etching is a traditional printing process which has changed very little over the centuries, because each print has to be individually inked and printed they may vary slightly.
